I haven't yet received my item. Can I get an update rather than receiving automated messages.

Well, it does the bare minimum as advertised: I put a CD in, connect, headphones, and it plays. And I will say the audio quality is pretty good, which is saying something as I'm quite particular about sound quality. But when "audiophile quality" is part of the advertisement, I also consider this to be part of the bare minimum.
Unfortunately, there are a handful of concerns which keep me from truly enjoying this product.

1. PLAYBACK ISSUES - This is a big one. When listening to a full CD - which is, you know, what you're supposed to do - the player almost always stops playing a couple minutes before the final track has ended. To hear the entirety of the final track, I have to replay the CD and skip to the final track. This is massively inconvenient as the whole point of a CD is to listen to the album from start to finish without interruption.

2. POOR BLUETOOTH CONNECTIVITY - When the Bluetooth connects, it works. But getting it to connect is a complete pain and usually takes several minutes before the player will actually recognize my headphones. I have noise cancelling headphones which support active noise cancelling but only when they are powered on in Bluetooth mode; so in order for me to get the full benefit of using these headphones with my CD Player, I need the Bluetooth mode. So the fact that the Bluetooth does not work well is very disappointing. The Bluetooth also has poor range; it is spec'd at 8-10m, but in my experience the connection begins to deteriorate at around half that. So even if you're using Bluetooth, you need to keep this in close physical proximity to your person in order to work well.

3. BUTTON USABILITY - I absolutely could not get the hang of which button is which and their relative positions on the device. The button functions are only given on the buttons themselves, and the buttons AND their indications are both black. Unless you develop some kind of muscle memory to the device I have no idea how you're supposed to tell which button is which. My solution was to buy small white stickers, label them with the button functions, and place them on top of the device (along the black 'ribbed' circumference). It shouldn't be that difficult to learn where the buttons are. Maybe I'm just an idiot, but that doesn't alleviate my other concerns.

Overall takeaway: It technically does what it's supposed to do, but I would gladly pay more for a more usable and reliable device.

Product right out the box is not working properly. The audio is not playing straight. Every 2-3 seconds it cuts off the sound. I never heard a CD players in that fashion. I am disappointed. I was anticipating and had high hopes for this device. I was actually depending on it for convenience of learning a new language. This sucks for me. I have been trying to get in contact with the company, they ask to send a video of the issue, which I did and I have been reaching out to them from ever since and I haven’t been getting any response. I don’t understand what kind of service is this……

So after my initial problem with the service and product, Chloe from their Customer Service team came back and resolved everything with excellent support and the product has been operating for a number of weeks with no issues. The product is beautifully designed and works on all of my CDs so far. Thank you Chloe and the Trettitre team for the excellent response and service!
